This Day in History–Sept 30th Part 1

I love Babe Ruth.  He single handily changed Baseball – and did so as a womanizing, hard living drinker and smoker.

You can read two other posts about him HERE and HERE, but today we honor one of his greatest achievements.

On this day in history – Sept 30th 1927, Babe Ruth hits his 60th home run of the 1927 season and with it sets a record that would stand for 34 years.

Of course – if I needed any other reason to love The Babe – all I would have to do is look at these two pictures taken in Chicago in 1927 – for the ND vs USC game.
